The — Bungou Stray Dogs brain rot has lasted more than I thought it would.

I just love how Asagiri has been able to weave together all these literary figures and their work so seamlessly in his plot. But I never expected to get so attached to the characters — I was stuck on season two for years but once I started watching (actually watching) I just couldn’t stop.

I am just scared that the manga is becoming a jjk pt 2 :’)

Tried making those mini books and miniatures are so tough.

I hope I survive the assignments this semester

Finished it and loved it. There’s this mundaneness to the book that’s completely different from the vibrancy of the cover. I never felt bored, not even for a single sentence. I read the two stories on the commute and instantly found myself transported, reading this book was akin to being in a lucid dream.

The themes of grief, pain and loss — the two stories were so different but also so similar, the second one was shorter but in terms of the plot, I felt a lot happened. There wasn’t a single character that felt two dimensional.

I definitely want to read more by the author. I had picked this one on a whim but I’m glad I did. I also did not realize the book was published quite some time ago. Seeing the cover I had thought it was a recent work.

I have a printer now and that means the moodboard will continue to change every once in a while - my lil printer is so cute i will never shut up about it.

Genshin // of course I didn’t realize that they had a teleport waypoint and I walked to Natlan ofc - because i like to play this game on the hardest level (sigh)

dear past me,

i’m writing to you from 2024. it’s been 7 years since i started making art and posting here for fun. i don’t know what’s more unbelievable, the fact that it’s been that long or that i kept going. i was 17 when i thought it would be fun to learn how to do calligraphy, but i struggled to do even the most basic strokes and now i’m 23, hand lettering as effortlessly as writing normally.

i’ve never really written a letter to the past, i’m so focused on the future. how to do better, how to grow. it does become a numbers game, i cannot lie. it just feels more measurable. regardless, i am still the same, still trying new things, still pushing myself to do better.

i don’t think i can conquer those feelings of “it’s not enough” - yet. but looking back at the years, i see how much i’ve grown. the things that are so easy now, were not then.

to you, seven years ago, i’m grateful you tried things that interested to you. i’m happy you made art for the sake of it. i’m glad you stuck through the ups and downs.
